Folding-arm awnings
The classic terrace and porch awning: the fabric rolls onto a bar on the wall and two folding arms push it out. We have fitted them over porches by the pool, in courtyards and on terraces.

Hidden-arm awnings
They open on arms like a folding-arm awning, but when closed the arms tuck away next to the fabric and are barely visible. A good choice if you want the front of the house to look tidy.

Common on windows and balconies: the fabric drops straight down and short arms tilt the bottom out, giving shade while keeping some of the view and the breeze.

Fitted to the opening of a flat's balcony, between the ceiling and the railing, to give shade without closing it in. Every balcony is different, so each one is measured on site.

The fabric runs along guides and folds into soft pleats when drawn back, like a curtain laid flat. It shades the whole terrace from above.

Vertical awnings
The fabric drops straight down to close off a side, blocking the low evening sun and adding privacy. We have fitted them to the sides of an aluminium porch and a pergola.
Full-cassette awnings
A folding-arm awning whose fabric and arms retract into an aluminium box. Clean on the wall, fabric protected. A wind sensor can retract it automatically.

Do you come out to measure?
Yes. We measure at your home before quoting, so the quote is based on the real measurements.
Can I choose the fabric colour?
Yes. In our photos you will see plain and striped fabrics in beige, grey, green, orange, blue and red.
What should I do when it's windy?
Close it. An open fabric awning acts like a sail, and strong gusts put strain on the fabric, arms and fixings. If your house tends to catch the wind, tell us when we measure.

Shade sails
A shade sail is a fabric sheet fixed by its corners to posts or to the wall. It gives shade without a roof structure: over a patio, a play area or by the pool. If you are interested, tell us about the spot and we will look at it when we measure.
