An aluminium pergola with a sliding awning turns part of your terrace, garden or roof terrace into a shaded outdoor room. The frame stays put and the fabric roof opens or draws back with the sun. Pergola with sliding awning
The most common in our photos: an aluminium frame with a fabric roof that slides open and folds into pleats when drawn back. We have fitted them by pools, on terraces and on a roof terrace.
Pergola with side blind
When the evening sun comes in low, a roof alone isn't enough. On this pergola by a pool we added a vertical blind on one side for shade and privacy.
Aluminium porch with roof and vertical blinds
For a properly covered area, an aluminium porch with a fixed roof. On this job we closed the front with beige vertical blinds.
How we build a pergola
These photos are from a 2021 installation at a house with a pool: first the bare wall, then the aluminium frame standing, fixed to the house and ready for the awning.
Retractable canopy between walls
When the patio sits between two walls, the retractable canopy can run on them, with no posts. We have fitted these in inner courtyards with plain and striped fabric.
Porches and terrace roofs
If you'd rather have a fixed roof, we build porches with tile-effect sandwich panel or light-letting polycarbonate roofs.

Can the sides be closed?
Yes, with vertical blinds. Each one goes up and down on its own, so you only close the side the sun comes from.
Can you fit a pergola on a roof terrace?
Yes, we have done it. What matters is fixing it without damaging the floor or the waterproofing, and we check that when we measure.
Do I need permission?
It depends on your town hall and, in a block of flats, on the community of owners. It's worth asking first; we can give you the pergola's measurements to show them.

Shade sails
A shade sail is a fabric sheet fixed by its corners to posts or to the wall. It gives shade without a roof structure: over a patio, a play area or by the pool. If you are interested, tell us about the spot and we will look at it when we measure.
